The 2014 New Orleans Jazz Festival is under way, and several big names have already taken the stage to entertain fans. Wrapping up the Friday night festivities on the Acura stage, Santana played a set that ran for more than two hours, filling the city with his sweet sounds and insightful words of wisdom to the crowd.
This isn’t Santana’s first visit to the magic of Jazz Fest; the 10-time Grammy Award winner also rocked the city in 2008. Six years later, Carlos and the boys proved they could still rock just as hard as they always have.
Fast fact: Santana has been performing for more than 45 years, and was one of the original Woodstock performers.
Besides being a Jazz Fest headliner and playing regular gigs around the U.S., Carlos Santana is also working on his first book. The autobiography, titled "Universal Tone," is currently being collaborated on.
